Transport

The Edinburgh City Bus Station is approximately 250 metres from the casino entrance on the next street. There are bus/tram stops on York Place, some with shelters and seating.

Access at Entrance

The only entrance to the casino is on York Place adjacent to the junction with Dublin Street. There are five steps leading up to the entrance which has two sets of inward opening double doors leading directly to the reception area. Wheelchair access is not possible at this location due to the age of the building.
The steps outside the entrance are uneven and not delineated. There are metal handrails to the steps.
There is a fire exit at the rear of the premises leading into a service road. Whilst it is possible for a wheelchair user to gain access through this door, it would require the assistance of casino staff. The service road surface is uneven and there is no unobstructed pavement to access the fire exit.

Reception

The reception area is immediately inside the main entrance. The counter is to the left as you enter. Staff will assist you from here to the main casino areas.

There is a unisex toilet on the ground floor. There are male and female toilets to the first floor. There is no accessible toilet on the premises.
The gaming tables and slot machines on the ground floor are mainly accessible with plenty of space around most of them. The cash desk does not have low counters but staff are available to assist if required.

Access to the first-floor bar and gaming area is only possible using the stairs. There are staff available to assist you should you wish to purchase drinks or food. Gaming tables and slot machines are available on both floors.
