Transport

There are good public transport links provided at the bus stops on Western Esplanade. The buses stop to within around 150 metres of the club. There is no shelter or seating at these bus stops. There is level access from the bus stops to the pavement and then to the casino entrance.

Car Park and Drop Off

Members parking is provided along the central reservation in the road on Western Esplanade directly outside the Genting Club. There are two accessible parking spaces located adjacent to the pedestrian crossing and close to the main entrance of the casino.

Access at Entrance

The main entrance to the casino is approached along the Western Esplanade in Westcliff, Southend on Sea. There is a platform lift available from street level to the entrance doors. Visitors may also choose to use the 9 steps up which flank either side of the lift. The entrance doors are manual double doors which open both in and outwards. The main entrance leads directly into the meet and greet reception area. The entrance is well signposted from Western Esplanade. The threshold at the entrance is level.

Facilities

The casino has bar areas both with a range of lounge style and more formal seating available. The casino restaurant provides an extensive menu. All bar and restaurant areas provide a table service for the comfort of visitors to the club. There is a short ramp up to the main dining area.
The casino provides accessible toilet facilities for visitors. The toilets are equipped with grab rails and assistance alarms, fixtures and fittings are generally at an accessible height

Access to all Areas

Once inside the casino all the gaming areas, toilets, bars and restaurants are on a single level providing ease of access for mobility impaired visitors. There is a general toilet block located on the lower ground floor of the building.  Further general toilets and two accessible facilities can be found at ground level. There is a moderate ramp of four and a half metres length to access the main dining area.

Opposite the back of house accessible toilet is a disabled refuge area.

Access to this lobby from outside is via a flight of nine steps and is not accessible to wheelchair users.

General Comments

There are several fire exits at the rear of the building which open onto the terrace which runs around the building.
Some exits have steps down to the doors and exit from the terrace is via either steps to the left hand side or a ramp to the right hand side.
